Typically, you'll find me going on a walk with our son Elnatan, listening to a podcast while doing my household or working behind my camera or macbook for the business of my dreams. Every day I'm excited for my husband to come home from work and I love to laugh together.
More favourite moments are: being sunk in a book, a glass of elderflower syrup next to me, writing journal or a letter or singing together.

When I was a little girl being a photographer wasn't on the list of my dream jobs. Probably, because I saw no reason to be jealous of our school and studio photographers. Nevertheless, in private, I was always the one who had her camera at hand and provided everyone with photos - family, friends, in choir, at school and university.
To meet people through photography and share
love and happiness became my passion.
I was impressed by the personal value that a picture can have and simply by beautiful pictures - with real emotions and soft light. And how often have I got up early in the morning to enjoy the sun rising over the lake, to capture the fog and the dew. I photographed a lot, learned through trial and error, read, asked and brought my cameras to their limits.  In 2012 a friend of mine (thank you, Julia!) asked me to photograph their wedding out of the blue. I'm not a friend of "friends
taking pictures of weddings", but I do like "friends who shoot professionally". And I wanted to become such a person! Since then I'm hooked and photography belongs to me somehow. And since then, I have been accompanying couples as friends and photographers, seeing wonderful families growing, and I am incredibly thankful to God for this opportunity and for all the people trusting me.Nevertheless, at the same time, I learned a wonderful job from my list - I am a primary school teacher and taught for almost two years while working as part-time photographer. In my current parental leave, I accept as many weddings and sessions as it goes well with my family. My husband Ibrahim and I got married on a icy-glittering winter's day, the 30.12.2016. He keeps me grounded and always cheers me on, supports my business and accompany me to weddings or takes care of our little son. Elnatan was born in December 2017 and is on board for family and portrait sessions.

In a few words:
I'm a lifelong learner and love books. I am a dreamer and detail lover, perfectionist and optimist -
there always at least one reason to be thankful for (which does not mean that I can not be grumpy too).
I love to be the eldest of five kids.

What makes me happy:
honey, hummus and elderberry syrup | handwritten letters in the mailbox (esp. if it's a postcard from my hubby)
... the four seasons - I like them all !! | photo books | warm summer evenings with family and friends
trips to Leipzig - my beloved student home for 6 years | traveling and feeling connected to people immediately | coming home again

My current challenges:
- learning Arabic (the mother tongue of Ibrahim)
- being a good role model for our son

Fun Facts:
I flew for the first time at the age of 18 and forgot my ticket at home.
December is my special month. Dec. 2015: first car and engagement | Dec. 2016: our wedding | Dec. 2017: Birth of Elnatan
I love to iron because the perfectionist in me is happy  when everything is smooth and harmonious ;)
I have painted a timeline of Jeanette Oke's Clark and Marty novels to get a better overview of all family relationships and events.

I just love to take beautiful pictures but photography is not my real life fulfillment.

It is a gift from God that we can gather memories (and by the way, that memories fade away). I appreciate it so much that there is the possibility of capturing precious moments in pictures so that they stay alive for me and I can share my joy with others, over generations. And I can not express it simpler or more complicated:I love it! AI never want to forget that a picture in itself is earthly and transient. When we are in heaven, we do not need pictures anymore. But I'm still looking forward to seeing the eternal value that I want to give my pictures. A picture is precious in that it brings joy and gratitude - when it is created in a pleasant atmosphere, when it is hung up and looked at or given away again and again, and when it creates valuable friendships. If I lose track of this goal and the photography makes me proud, jealous or irritated, she is oneObstacle in my relationship with God, my family or other people. It's so easy to rave about spending untold (night) hours behind the PC and not being able to see many events with your own eyes because you feel pressured to photograph everything. The day is filled with emails, shootings, photo editing, photo albums, blog posts, etc. I do this work from the heart and I'm grateful to do it. It isa blessing to meet wonderful people and pass on joy. God enjoys beautiful things, happy families and marriages, where He is the third in the covenant. It is my desire to honor Him in my gifts and business by serving my clients with loyalty and reliability. The family must never suffer from the business. My faith should always be my motivation, but also set me the necessary limits to lead a business to the glory of God.I am grateful for my husband and my friends (especially you, Simone) who support me in implementing these principles that share my enthusiasm and walk the path with me, but also question me and slow me down at the right moment.

PS: There are trips where I leave the camera at home. And at our wedding ceremony, guests were asked to enjoy the ceremony with us without cameras and cell phones as professional photography takes place.

We were made for God and nothing else will do.
